What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They let a site remember things between page loads and visits — for example, your preferences or whether you arrived via a particular link. Some cookies are set by us (first-party) and some by third parties such as analytics or affiliate networks (third-party). We also use similar technologies like pixels and local storage; we refer to all of these as "cookies" here.

Types of cookies we use

  • Essential cookies: required for the Site to function — for example, remembering your cookie choices and keeping the Site secure. These cannot be switched off through our controls without affecting how the Site works.
  • Analytics cookies: help us understand how visitors use the Site — which pages are popular and how people navigate — so we can improve our content. This data is used in aggregate.
  • Affiliate-tracking cookies: record that you clicked through to an operator from Melinas Mom, so that if you sign up, the referral is credited to us. This is how we earn commissions and keep the Site free to read.

How affiliate cookies work

When you click a link to an operator, an affiliate cookie or referral identifier is set (usually by the operator or its affiliate network). If you then register or deposit, that cookie tells the network the referral came from us, and we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. The cookie does not change your bonus, odds or account, and it does not give us access to your gambling account or personal financial details. Affiliate cookies typically expire after a set period (often 30–90 days), which varies by network. Our use of affiliate links does not affect our ratings — see our review methodology.

How to manage or disable cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking affiliate or analytics cookies will not stop you using the Site, though blocking essential cookies may affect functionality. Most browsers let you manage cookies here:

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Clear browsing data.
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data / Block all cookies.
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.

You can also use your browser's private/incognito mode, or a "Do Not Track" / global privacy control signal, to limit tracking.

Consent

By continuing to use the Site, you consent to our use of essential cookies. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential (analytics and affiliate-tracking) cookies, and you can withdraw consent at any time by changing your browser settings. For details on how the resulting data is handled and your privacy rights — including the California "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" option — see our privacy policy or email privacy@melinasmom.com.
