About Melinas Mom Our Independent US Guide

An independent, American-focused resource for offshore online casinos, crypto casinos and sports betting sites.

Who we are

Melinas Mom is an independent guide built for American players who want a straight answer about offshore online gambling. We review and compare offshore online casinos, crypto casinos and sports betting sites that accept US players in all 50 states. We are not an operator, we do not take deposits, and we do not run any games. We are a publisher — our job is to test these sites so you do not have to, and to explain, in plain English, what each one actually offers.

The operators we cover are licensed outside the United States, most often in jurisdictions such as Curaçao and Anjouan. That means they are not licensed by any US state gaming regulator. We think American players deserve honest, US-focused information about how these sites work, how they are regulated abroad, how fast they pay, and where the risks are — instead of marketing copy dressed up as advice.

Our mission

Our mission is simple: help US readers make informed, safer choices about offshore online gambling. We do that by testing real accounts, verifying licensing and audit claims, timing withdrawals, and reading the fine print on bonuses so you can see the wagering requirements before you sign up. We would rather warn you away from a slow-paying site than push you toward a big headline bonus you can never actually cash out.

Editorial independence

This is the part we care about most: no operator pays for a better ranking. Our rankings and star ratings are decided by our editorial team based on testing and evidence — never by commercial deals. An operator cannot buy its way up our lists, cannot pay to remove criticism, and cannot pay to hide a slow payout or a punishing wagering requirement. If a site treats players badly, we say so, whether or not we have an affiliate relationship with it. Advertising and editorial are kept separate on purpose.

How we make money

Melinas Mom is free to read, and it stays free because we are reader-supported through affiliate commissions. When you follow a link to an operator and sign up, that operator may pay us a commission — at no extra cost to you. You never pay more for using our links, and your odds, bonuses and account are exactly the same as if you had gone to the site directly. Crucially, being an affiliate partner does not earn an operator a higher rating. We disclose this relationship openly, in line with US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidance, on every page where it applies.

Our review process

Every site we cover goes through a hands-on, repeatable process: we open a real-money account, make a deposit, play, request a withdrawal, and time how long the money takes to arrive. We check licensing and independent audits (such as eCOGRA and iTech Labs), confirm SSL security, test customer support, and review the responsible-gambling tools each operator offers. You can read the full breakdown on our review methodology page.

Our commitment to responsible gambling

Gambling should be entertainment, not a way to make money or solve financial problems. We build responsible-gambling guidance into everything we publish. Because offshore operators are not part of US state self-exclusion programs, we explain how to use each site's own deposit limits and self-exclusion tools, and we point US readers to real help — including the National Problem Gambling Helpline at 1-800-GAMBLER. Please read our responsible gambling page before you play. You must be 18+ (21+ at some operators) to gamble.
